For the second consecutive month we are featuring a driver who calls the Mid-State Kart Club in Springfield, Illinois, home – this time, multi-time national champion and former WKA Triple Crown winner, Ryan Cassity.
Ryan Cassity is likely the longest tenured Coyote Motorsports driver in the country, and one of the most accomplished. Cassity started racing karts in the Briggs Junior class at Mid-State in 1983 and continues to compete on a local, regional and national level today.
In 2013, Cassity flexed his muscle as arguably the top 4-cycle sprint racer in the country when he scored a huge $5,000 payday for his King of the Castle Pro Clone win at New Castle Motorsports Park.
Years earlier, Cassity won a WKA Triple Crown championship – the most prestigious driver award the World Karting Association once offered – for winning three class national championships in the Gold Cup Series. In all, Cassity has won 14 WKA national championships and 16 WKA Divisional Series titles.

While he hasn’t been a regular Gold Cup competitor for a number of years, Cassity still occasionally returns to Gold Cup nationals – most recently, a national event at New Castle in August 2016.
Proving he still can get the job done on a national level, Ryan competed in the LO206 Masters division and won both Saturday and Sunday’s main events over a competitive field of drivers.
Cassity is married with a daughter and is employed by Caterpillar, Inc. He graduated from Western Illinois University in 1995 with a degree in Mathematics.
Ryan has been instrumental in promoting Coyote products on and off the track, and it certainly shows with the number of customers we have in Illinois and surrounding states.
We thank Ryan for his years of commitment to and support of Coyote Motorsports, and we’re looking forward to continuing the relationship in the future!
Here’s a Q and A with Ryan to highlight him as this month's Coyote Featured Driver!
